After 8 years involved with the football club, Greg Lake will step down as chairman of BTFC Women.

We cannot thank Greg enough for what he's done and achieved in growing the Women's side of the club in that time.

Greg and iCore have played an integral part in our growth from grassroots up to the 1st Team, leading to Essex County Cup wins and promotion to Tier 3 - the highest level in our history.

Hear from Greg :
'After a great deal of soul searching, I’ve made the very difficult decision to leave BTFC Women. 

​

I’ve been involved for 8 years now and have seen many advances to both our Women and Girls’ pathway as well as the Women’s game in general. 

​

As I move into my mid 60’s, I want to put more focus on enjoying my own life, family and indeed, my own business. Whilst iCore will remain as the Women’s team’s main sponsor, this move will relieve me of the pressures of running what is effectively a second business. 

​

My thanks, apologies and best wishes go to BTFC’s owners (Dave and Nick), all of the staff, players and sponsors. Most of all though, I would ask everyone involved to rally around and help Kim through the coming weeks. Kim is a very special person to me and remains the heartbeat of the section. Kim will need people from around the club and game to move things forwards once again.
