Buildup  

We are in game week 11 of the FA Women’s National League, Premier Division South, away at Cheltenham Town. 

 

The Starting Lineups 

Billericay Town – Bell, Morgan, Daniels, Vennard, Santiago, Grain, Evans, Ralston, Smith, Cawood, Jones 

Cheltenham Town – Haynes, Trinci, Jones, Arnott, Hall, Llewellyn, Owen, Norman, Ellis, Newns, Lue 

 

The action 

We start the game with Melisa Jones kicking us off into game week 11 of the FA Women’s National League, Premier Division South. 

 

Tyrii Bell makes an early save to deny Cheltenham an opener. 

 

We are awarded a free kick just outside the box in our end. Learna Daniels takes and crosses to Nia Evans. 

 

Cheltenham nearly have an opener with a header across the box, but it luckily goes wide. 

 

Kelsey Morgan is forced off due to injury, and Tecia Ledwidge replaces 

 

Tyrii Bell makes another incredible save to deny the home team. 

 

Cheltenham have the opener, Meg Arnott manages to get a head on the rebound after Em Owen’s shot is denied, and unfortunately, slots it past Tyrii Bell. 

 

Cheltenham are awarded a free kick, and luckily, the Billericay wall manages to deny them getting a second. 

 

Abbi Smith takes a shot just outside the box, the ball flies towards the goal, but unfortunately goes just wide to the right. 

 

Corner is awarded to Cheltenham, crossed towards the goal, and it misses the goal. 

 

Tecia Ledwidge has a shot from the right of the box, but the keeper manages to save. 

 

We are awarded a free kick, taken by Abbi Smith. She sends the shot flying over the wall and toward the goal, but Haynes manages to collect. 

 

Ledwidge gains another shot just outside the box, but her shot goes just wide. 

 

Tyrii makes another impeccable save, denying Lue from giving Cheltenham their second 

 

Cheltenham nearly have a second right before half-time, Learna Daniels manages to deny the Robinesses after Tyrii’s save was deflected. 

 

Half Time – Billericay Town 0-1 Cheltenham Town 

 

We kick back off into the second half of the FAWNL Southern Premier Division clash between Billericay Town and Cheltenham Town. 

 

Tyrii Bell has been busy so far this half, making several saves, denying Cheltenham from gaining a second this game. 

 

Norman plays in Newns, whose ball across the goal was cleared away for a corner. Goalscorer Arnott won the ball in midfield and played it in by Hall, her effort luckily goes wide of the post. 

 

Bell is on fire once again, Newnes shoots towards the goal, and Tyrii manages to deny and knock it just into the crossbar and keeps it out. 

 

Daniels denies Owens from getting her shot near the goal. 

 

Cheltenham gain a second, after a corner is shot toward goal, Emily Owen manages to get a head on it and slips it past Tyrii Bell. 

 

We are awarded a free kick just past the halfway line, taken by Nia Evans. Unfortunately, no one manages to get a head on it. 

 

Emily Owens attempts to get her hat-trick, but Bell manages to save in the centre of the goal with ease. 

 

Bell again makes an incredible save after another chance for Cheltenham is shot towards the goal. 

 

Brady makes a shot towards the goal from the right side of the box, and Bell saves to deny her. 

 

Tyrii denies Cheltenham in the last minutes with a collection on the edge of the box 

 

Cheltenham have a third in the last minutes of the game, Brady plays the ball into Hall and her effort from a tight angle slots in behind Tyrii Bell. 

 

Full Time – Cheltenham Town 3-0 Billericay Town

 

A tough loss away to Cheltenham at Kayte Lane, we played incredibly, with many new names in the lineup today. 

All focus shifts to our last game of 2025, at home against Bournemouth.
