The action

We are officially underway in game week 8, back at home after a while. Exeter City kick us off into the FAWNL clash.

We are awarded a free kick, taken by Gracie Hickman, which was crossed towards the box, but unfortunately, no one managed to collect it.

Exeter City opens the scoreline with a cross in from Sophie Gillies, and Zuurmond knocks it in.

Exeter doubles their lead, with a long-range shot managing to fly past Mackler.

We are awarded a corner, taken by Captain Abbi Smith, but her cross unfortunately doesn’t manage to land on anyone's foot.

A corner is awarded to Exeter City, a well-worked cross into the box from Emily Poole sees Exeter City add a third to their tally with a header from Georgia Vaccaro

We gain a free kick, a shot from distance that, unluckily, goes just over the crossbar.

Emily Mackler makes an incredible save, denying Exeter their fourth

A free kick is awarded to Exeter; the free kick nearly goes over the line, and Gillies intercepts it and slots it in.

Exeter have a chance to get a fifth with a cross finding the head of Toogood in the box, but her chance luckily hits the crossbar.

The crossbar is taking a battering today, with another Exeter chance hitting it again.

Half Time – Billericay Town 0-4 Exeter City

We are back underway in game week 8, with Erika Lempek kicking us off into the second half.

Exeter gains their fifth with a cross from Vaccaro, finding Gillies, and her shot finds the back of the net.

Sophie Gillies gets a hat-trick, with a through ball finding her, and her shot is propelled into the net.

Emily Mackler makes an impeccable save, stopping Exeter from gaining another.

Mackler goes down injured, and she is taken off, being replaced by Tyrii Bell. Hopefully her injury isn’t a bad one.

Sarah Stacey gains Exeter City their seventh after Emily Toogood just about clips our defence, and it's driven home.

The whistle goes for full time, Exeter City 7, Billericay Town 0

Full Time – Billericay Town 0-7 Exeter City

Another very tough defeat for Billericay at home. Mackler going off injured, hopefully her injury isn’t too severe.

All focus shifts to Lewes at home in the league in two weeks.
