Lucy Jones first appeared for Billericay Town during the 2017-18 season having joined from Writtle.  The club were still members of the Eastern Region Women’s League, but won the title to gain promotion that season with Lucy making 3 appearances.

With The Blues playing in the F.A. Women's National League Division 1 South-East, Lucy became a first team regular, scoring her first Town goal on the opening day of the season against Denham United.

The season ended with Billericay finishing as runners-up but lifting the Essex Women’s Cup for the first time, beating C&K Basildon 4-0 in the final.

The 2019-20 league season was abandoned due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  The Blues reached the F.A. Cup fourth round for the first time.  The team travelled to Lewes and took their hosts to a penalty shoot-out.  Lewes won 5-4.

Lucy only missed one match during the 2021-22 season and scored seven times, including an equalising penalty against Coventry United in the F.A. Cup fourth round match.  Coventry won the subsequent penalty shoot-out.

The Blues won their last 10 league matches to clinch the league title on the last day of the season.

On 2nd October 2022 Lucy made her 100th appearance for the Blues in a defeat at Portsmouth.

The Blue ended their first season in the third tier with a 6th place finish and a second Essex Women’s Cup title.

On 2 April 2024, Lucy made her 150th appearance for The Blues as the Isthmian Women's Cup was won for the first time.

Lucy was the club's longest serving player and the records show that she made more appearances than anyone else.

Thank you for all your hard work and good luck with whatever you do with your future.
