Buildup  

We are in game week 14 of the FA Women’s National League, Premier Division South, at home to Plymouth Argyle. After an Essex Cup win against Chelmsford City on penalties, we are back in league action.

 

The Starting Lineups 

Billericay Town – Bell, Ralston, Hickman, Santiago, Galbally, Ledwidge, Smith, Vennard, Addy, McAniskey, Jones

Plymouth Argyle – Cull, Lue, Proctor, Kivel, Wilson, Wilcock, Stephens, Noble, Francis, Teisar, Suttie

 

The action  

We are underway in the first half of the home clash against Plymouth Argyle.


Plymouth has an early chance and shoots towards the goal, but it hits the side netting.


The away side scores early, but the offside flag goes up.


Plymouth opened the scoring, with Francis having a side-footed finish slot into the goal, unfortunately chipping Bell.


Tyrii Bell makes an incredible save to deny Plymouth getting a second


Argyle have a second with an Ellie Noble left-footed strike past Tyrii Bell.


Plymouth take another shot, Emily Vennard clears the ball away, denying the away side.


Teisar has the third for Plymouth, taking a close-range shot and managing to get it in the right place for Argyle.


Teisar has her second, scoring again for Plymouth.


The away side is awarded a penalty after Una Lue was fouled in the box.


Lue takes, stepping up to the spot, and she manages to slot it past Bell.


Lue has a second, taking a shot and getting it into the top corner.


The offside flag goes up again, denying Plymouth's seventh.

  

Half Time – Billericay Town 0-6 Plymouth Argyle

We are back underway in the second half, with Learna Daniels replacing Melissa Jones.


Addy threads the ball into Ledwidge, but the flag is raised, and we are called offside.


A scramble in the box for Plymouth, but Bell collects excellently.


Wilson has Plymouth's seventh, after the original shot was denied by Bell and cleared.


We are awarded a free kick near the edge of the penalty area. The shot from Smith goes wide.


We make a double substitution, Megan McAniskey and Summer Addy are replaced by Aimee Cawood and Leyla Priest.


A disallowed goal for Plymouth due to the offside flag being raised again.


Plymouth are awarded a free kick, the shot goes just over the crossbar.


Plymouth continues to create chances, but we are holding up well.


A header gets away with Plymouth, and Tyrii Bell saves.


Una Lue completes her hat-trick for Plymouth Argyle, with a right-footed strike from inside the box.


We make our last substitution of the game, Liz Santiago leaves the field, being replaced by Macie Windsor.


Olivia Francis adds a ninth for Argyle, after picking up possession from a loose pass and finding the back of the net.

 A disappointing result at home in our first home league game in 2026 against Plymouth Argyle.


We are away to Exeter in the league on the 8th of February, and we have our semi-final clash against Hashtag United Reserves on the 15th of February at New Lodge
